The Three Amigos has been most active in South Africa,
a country where HIV/AIDS is a very serious problem. From
the beginning of the project, institutions and organizations
in South Africa have been extremely supportive.
The Three Amigos has been played on the South African
Broadcasting Corporation (SABC) continuously since AIDS
Day, December 1, 2003. The spots have now entered the
popular culture of South Africa.
 
Thanks to a grant from the Canadian International Development
Agency (CIDA), The Three Amigos has distributed over 1,000
tapes and DVD’s to NGO’s, CBO’s, health
facilities, educational institutions, township community
centres, youth centres and other organizations throughout
South Africa.
